extended stay!

well, a tropical storm was sweeping the east coast, so...oh darn...that meant cb and uncle bob had to stay longer!!!  :)  we were so happy they were able to stick around for a couple more days and hang with us.  the dude definitely missed both of them this morning though.  i don't think he knew what to do with himself!!

grana definitely knows how to outfit my guys with awesome aprons!  the dude let daddy handle the memorial day grilling business....he had other things to attend to!

(side note...the lamb he's holding in the last picture was mine growing up.  he also LOVES my bear, dink.  i love seeing things i loved long ago being loved again!)

rolling thunder

yesterday cb and uncle bob arrived at our house after their 3 day trip on their bikes from cocoa beach, fl!  they hit a little rain the one day, but it sounds like they had good weather the rest of the trip.  the dude was very excited to have some more 'dudes' in the house!  

regardless of the intense heat today, cb and uncle bob made another trek into DC today for the rolling thunder parade.  because it was so hot though, we decided to stay home.  we promised to have a cold drink waiting for them when they got back!

hmmmm, i think our dude has a fascination with helmets!!  (first post from blog; second post on blog) not sure what that means....football, hockey, derby, race car, motorcycle?!  daredevil nonetheless!!!

five years!

oh yeah....and today is our anniversary!  five years ago today we were standing in mom and dad's backyard starting our new life together.  time has gone by so fast!  we wouldn't have wanted to spend it anywhere else than at our besties' house!!  casa de murray!

through thick and thin,  trials and tribulations, sickness and health, and for richer or poorer....we have stuck together and made things work.  i'm so proud of us for never giving up and making what we have even that much stronger.  must be that 'crazy' gene we both have gluing us together!!  ;)

OMG!!!  it's amazing how just a small little haircut can make a little guy look so grown up!  as much as i hated having to get his golden locks cut, he looks like quite the dapper young man if you ask me.  as if he wasn't a lady killer already, oh boy!

phew...one more milestone accomplished...what's next?!

gathering of the pregs II

yeah!  second annual gathering of the pregs!!  since last year, we have one new addition...harper!  she is quite the cutey.  all of the kids have gotten so big from last year's gathering (see last years post).  and one thing is for sure...there was no shortage of fun being had.  unfortunately i somehow missed getting a picture of mr. brody!!  :(  well he was having a blast the whole time as well.

a beachy wedding

today marked the first day of colin and stephanie's 'together!'

it was a perfect day.  the setting was beautiful.  the weather was beautiful.  and the bride was beautiful!

graham was quite impressed with the speaker for the guitar.  for the life of me i can't remember the guys name that played the guitar, but he was really nice and even walked him up the stairs to see the beach.  

it was great seeing family and great seeing some old faces from good ol FCHS!

i was so bummed that i couldn't make it down there.  but with my cast, i was going to take any chances with plastic bags, tape, etc.  i decided i would stay on star's patio and take pictures from there.  where's the real zoom when you need it!!  

based on the recap from grady, graham wasn't too thrilled going into the ocean, but LOVED sitting and playing in the sand and letting the water splash up on him.

rehearsal dinner

this wedding is going to be beautiful!  the location is right on the beach, but everyone will be sitting underneath a grass hut, so no worry of getting sunburned.  and there is an AWESOME breeze, so no worry of get hot out there either.  

we ended up getting to the rehearsal a little early, so we did some walking on the deck, looking at the ocean, dancing, and chillin' in our new favorite shades.  i can tell one thing though...with grady in the wedding and me being responsible for watching the dude...taking pictures is going to be tough!  we tried to get as many family shots as we could tonight.

we had a quiet morning with star and the girls while grady went out and did best man stuff with the groom to be colin!  kaeli showed graham some of her favorite videos, and then graham showed her one of his favorite videos.  devo 'whip it!'  he loves dancing to that song!

cocoa

we have arrived!!!

i know i post a picture like this every time we go to cocoa and stay with star and tommy, but it's because i can never get over how AWESOME of a place they have!  i could sit on the balcony and look at this all day!

the trip down was great.  four stars (out of four) to be exact!  i've got the traveling dude thing down to a science.  make sure the flight is right around lunch time and nap time!!  our flight left at 12:30, so we got some lunch in our bellies and then before we were even off the ground graham was passed out.  he slept the entire way, waking up just in time to see us land.  

picked up our rental car and we were off.  once we got to star and tommy's the kids had some fun finger painting and looking cute!

oh, and then the dude showed his love for aunt star by giving her a great 'graham slam!'
