it's a sprinkle!!!

in honor of miss lisa's newest little girl to be....i hosted a baby sprinkle at our house!  it was so much fun to plan such a cute party.  keeping it low key and relaxed i went and ran with the 'sprinkle' theme.  i made handmade umbrella bouquets for the table, handmade drink umbrella's for the sangria, lemon cheesecake bars, pink lemonade cupcakes, and chocolate dipped marshmallows topped with...what else than.....sprinkles!!!

everyone brought their favorite dessert and i think all of us ladies enjoyed feasting on sweets for a good three hours!  we were having such a great time, that i didn't even get pictures of the actual party with people here!  the table ended up being packed full of delicious goodies.  and i didn't get a picture of it, but miss colleen outdid herself this time.  she made a watermelon fruit bowl in the shape of a baby carriage.  complete with pinapple slice wheels!

miss lisa is getting down to the wire, with her due date july 9th.  we hope the rest of her pregnancy is enjoyable and we can't wait to meet baby eliza!!!

nature boy!

this is a common scene after the dude gets out of his bath.  hooded towel over his head, running up and down the hallway, ending in a complete nature boy!  he'll have a grin ear to ear and we're usually rolling on the floor laughing at him.  it's too cute not to love!

last day :(

i can't put into words how much fun the dude had with grana and grampa this past week (and us too!).  we definitely have been dreading the day when they have to go back to texas.  we couldn't have asked for better weather, a better behaved dude, and better adventures!

we hope you both were able to relax a little and enjoy some much needed r&r.  thank you for everything, and thank you for introducing soundtouch!  the dude can't get enough of that app! :)

we had more beautiful weather today, so we took advantage of it and relaxed on the deck.  mojo made herself right at home.  thanks sue!!  :)

grady and i both took the day off of work, so we all decided we would take a night off of cooking to enjoy a nice dinner out.  hadn't been to sweetwater in awhile, and since it's right down the street we decided to head on down.  there was a little bit of a wait (since it was a friday night), but luckily there was a fountain to keep the dude interested.  i was worried he was going to slip and get soaked before dinner, but we were lucky and he only got his feet wet!

yeah for no meltdowns.  and just like his mommy...the dude LOVES the round rolls with butter!

yahoo!!!  i am finally boot free!!!

but boooo, tibia is only 90-95% healed and the fibial is only 80-85% healed.  

what this means: physical therapy twice a week for another 5 weeks and then a follow-up at the ortho at the end of those 5 weeks.  icing and elevating as much as possible, and trying not to overdo it (which will be the toughest part!!).  

i've already made it through 11 weeks of this...what's 5 more....right??!!  ugh, i'm so ready to be completely healed!

thanks grampa.  i think you officialy made daddy jealous while he was working, and we were enjoying some beers and wings!  and oh man, was our waitress a FAN of the dude!  apparently before i walked over from work she had brought him paper and crayons the first time, a balloon the next, and then brought him some tater tots that he had 'ordered!' (yeah...grana and grampa hadn't ordered any tater tots!!)  we wanted to get a picture of her holding the dude, but he wasn't having it. hence, why grana is in the one photo.  grana to the rescue!!!

a sunday morning wouldn't be complete without a group bike ride!!  

thank you grampa for the awesome new bike!!  haven't quite mastered it yet, but he definitely already knows how to steer it pretty well...for the first time riding it!!

grana and grandpa are finally here!!!

after tornadoes and rain storms ripped through our area yesterday, grana and grandpa were able to get a VERY early flight out of san antonio this morning and arrived right around lunch time.  of course the dude was asleep in the car by the time i picked them up, but we were all excited to have them stay with us for the next week!

first store to visit on the trip...what else than....LOWES!  grana and grandpa got graham a pretty sweet lawn chair too!  works great to eat at the ottoman with.
