and if you aren't aware of skippyjon jones i would HIGHLY recommend checking the books out....dude!

22 months!!!

i have no idea how this happened??!!  two more months and my dude will be two??!!  wh wh WHAT!

time, you need to SLOW DOWN!

i gave a pretty good update as to what you've been doing the past several months in my 21 month update.  not too much different than that one. 

 - you seem to have new words everyday.

 - you're still mr. independent.

 - you're still a momma's boy!

 - i guess one thing to point out is...you're getting thinner!!!  i should rephrase that...you're getting taller, so you're thinning out!  it's so weird not seeing the buddah belly as much.

 - and i can't remember if i mentioned it in the last update...but you're MEDICINE FREE!!!  no more nebulizer or allergy medicine!  we took a leap of faith awhile ago and it paid off.  we'll see what he winter brings, but hopefully you've outgrown whatever it was you had!

we look forward to each and everyday with you little dude!  everyday is an adventure and we all learn something new from it.  stay being the dude that you are!

grammie's house

as no surprise to me....the dude seems to be very musically inclined.  he loved the drum in his infant room, he loves the xylaphone at home, he loves remixing music by turning the volume high and low, and he LOVES strumming guitars!  

about a month or so ago, mr. blue was at school with his guitar.  he let graham gently play and it was so  awesome to see.  as a very music friendly house, i would be completely fine buying the dude a guitar when he gets old enough to actually learn how to play!

so thank you grammie for helping the dude learn!  we loved listening to you play as well!

in return, the dude showed you how to use the ipad!  :)

and we can't forget, two of the cutest additions to the family!  miss violet and mister hilly billy (billy for short!)!!!  these are two very well behaved little kittens!  no hissing or scratching at graham at all!  i must say we also had a very well behaved little boy as well.  he was VERY gentle with the kittens and loved petting them and giving them kisses.  can't wait to see them again soon!

dinosaur playground

i have heard so much about the dinosaur playground in ashburn, but have never made it out there.  until today!  and wow, this park is great! it's shady all over and has tons of playing opportunities for all ages!  we decided after making it through his second haircut, we would reward the dude and take him to the playground.  he loved it!

oh yeah...and he's a 'cool' dude with his sunglasses!  he got several comments and head nods from the dads at the park!

my little farm hand

have i mentioned how much i LOVE frying pan park!  it's great...lots of places to run around and play, lots of animals to look at, and the best part.....FREE!!!

we started out this visit watching some of the horse jumping competition that was going on:

next we went over to the sheep as graham was pointing at the barn and belting out 'baaaaaaaaa!'  yeah, he was excited to see them.  so excited that he wanted to touch them!  that is until they let out a 'baaaaaa' and about scared him into my lap!  after that we went over to the pigs, goats and cows.  there were some very new and cute little piglets, two four-day old baby calfs, and even twin baby goats!!

then it was off to the birds!  graham has a history with the rooster...scares him back into my lap...but this time he was better.  still a little freaked out face, but no crying or running away!  maybe it's because he can talk to them as he knows what a rooster says....'a loodle loo!'  we loved the ducks in their bathtub as well!

we did a little relaxing in the shade...

...and then wanted to ride the tractor!

we had a GREAT time today!  someone will be sleeping well at naptime!!

oh, and one other reason why we love this place....mojo can come too!!!

welllllll, we had flowers, but no fruit.  the plant actually shriveled up and i gave up hope on a pumpkin for my dude that year.  not like i had anything else on my mind back in 2010!!

SOOOOOOOO....two years later......voila!!!

looks like we won't be buying any this year!!
