no trip to cocoa beach would be complete without a stop into surfers!
graham just wanted ONE drink. hehe!
after hitting up surfers, the old owner adam invited everyone over to his house. the kids had a blast playing in the pool. we found out that graham is quite comfortable wearing a life vest in the pool. we have one at home, so might have to try it at our pool.
grady has taken graham to the beach every morning before the sun gets too hot and then has run around a bit with the rest of his fam. but today....today is a beach day with everyone!
sun, sand, surf and huh? falling asleep halfway through eating a cookie??!
yup...that's what beach days are made of!

while kaeli was finishing up her last day at school, aunt star, cousin kamrin and cousin keagan took graham and grady to the brevard zoo. looks like they had a great time (seeing as grady said graham fell asleep the minute they got back in the car to go home!)
and i don't know about you, but i want a zoo that has a water park area in it too!! so cool!
the dudes made it down without a hitch (well, i guess there was some crying on the descent), picked up their rental car and made their way to aunt stars place.
graham promptly showed cousins kaeli and kamrin his flashy ipad.
and before bedtime they all changed into matching jammies (including little keagan). thanks grammie!!!
i can't express how happy these pictures make me. my little dude has turned into a little indie hipster! :) next thing you know he'll be asking for tattoos and piercings!!!
i slept in until 730 or so (late for me!), had coffee and breakfast made for me right as i came downstairs, did a little shopping for MYSELF and cuddled with my favorite dude all day!
daddy and the dude were pretty crafty too! i got some custom dinosaur artwork as a present from the dude. now i just have to get a frame for it. and thanks to daddy, i am now a proud owner of a 1 terra byte external hard drive! YEAH!!! it's so compact, i love it. long gone are the days of lugging my huge external drive around to transfer pictures and music. thanks hun!
such a relaxing and care free day. just want i wanted.
after some whining the dude said to me 'mommy i need to go to the bathroom.' not sure completely if this was a stalling tactic, and not being able to say NO since we are in training mode, i reluctantly took him into the bathroom. we got the seat ready, moved the stool, he hopped on up, and literally a minute later....
we headed out to george washington national forest this morning for the dude's first little 'ol camping trip! we met up with grammie at her work and enjoyed her company for the evening.
the weather was perfect during the day. not too hot, and not too cold. we pitched our tents, hunted for some firewood, cooked some dogs on the fire and then enjoyed just hanging out in nature for awhile. before it was time to hit the hay we heated up some s'mores. i couldn't believe that this was the first time grammie and daddy had eaten them! needless to say...everyone loved them!
so it got a little chilly at night (45 degrees!! brrrrrrr!), but we were able to bundle up the dude and he slept through the night. mommy...not so much! mojo ended up waking up around 2am shivering, so i had to get her warm. then around 3am there were a couple deer who decided to munch on some moss and grass RIGHT by our tent. i could literally hear their teeth chomping right next to my head! i think i got about 2 or 3 hours of sleep...but it was totally worth it. we had a great time and the boy was sufficiently wiped!
