21 months!!!

almost two????!!!!

yikes!!!

i haven't done an 'update' in awhile, so here goes:

 - you have a full mouth of teeth.  the only ones we're waiting on now are your two year molars.  and from the looks of it, those will be here soon.  the hand in the mouth is a tell tale sign!

 - after putting you on the scale in the bathroom, you're just under 30 pounds!

 - you have a slew of new words DAILY it seems like!  one of my favorite being 'ah boo pa,' which is how you say 'i love you!'

 - you are a definite momma's boy!  you cling to me like nobody's business.  i can't say that i don't like how you wrap your arms around my neck and then lay your head on my shoulder though.  i LOVE it!

- elmo is your all time FAVORITE!  you can actually name most of the characters in sesame street: elmo, abby, cookie, oscar, ernie and ah-ah (yeah...that's the count!)

- you're fascinated with animals of all kinds and can identify and make the correct sounds for: a cat, a dog, a duck, a pig, a donkey, a rooster, a monkey, an owl, a lamb, a goat, a lion/tiger, a cow, and a crab!

- you're definitely a book lover as well...which momma loves as well! story time before bed is one of my favorite times.

- we've transitioned to a toddler bed for about about a month now and doing GREAT! sometimes we wake up and you've migrated to the floor, but you're fast asleep and not bothered by it at all.  however, leaving you in the bed when it's time to sleep is usually quite the scene these days.   you don't want me to let go of you (please refer to momma's boy comment above!)

- we also have a climber on our hands.  the arched ladder thing at the playground that goes up to a platform that's about 4.5 feet off the ground....yeah, you scale it with ease and don't want us to help you at all.

- which leads me to my next item....INDEPENDENT!!!  OMG!  yes, you're definitely a product of your mom and dad!  stubborn, strong willed, and will throw a tantrum like no one's business.  we're working on this though and hopefully this phase will pass soon!

i'm sure there's more, but i don't want to go on and on and on!  even through all the tantrums, you still brighten up my day everyday!  love you dude!
