i have no idea why i have been waiting for this day...but i have been! the dude is now sleeping in a big boy bed! and wow! it was a lot easier to take the front off and put the rail on the bed than i expected. start to finish i think it took 25 minutes. LOVE!
first night went great. he didn't want me to leave him in his room since he could get out, but i let him cry a little and then went back in, held him some more and then put him back in his bed. and out like a light! second night..well, we found him sleeping on the floor. hmmm, not sure, but i think he got out and couldn't find his way back to bed with the soft night light. looks like we'll be swapping the brighter one in the hallway with the one in his room!
so far so good though. no real adjustment period. it will be awhile until we move to a BIG bed, but the baby steps seem to be working so far.
