first road trip in the 5. we're all headed to uncle tim and aunt andrea's for the weekend.

can't wait to see everyone and to have mojo and jerry meet for the very first time!

without a doubt, this pooch loves texas just as much as we do.

okay, well maybe she enjoys mom working from home everyday...but working from home in texas nontheless!

again, as our routine hasn't been really set or steady for awhile...someone has been crawling into bed with me in the morning...and i'm not talking about mojo (she's there all night!)!  this morning i thought it was cute out mojo was basically spooning graham.

then he had to give her a hug in the kitchen just because.

since the other furry ones have been in texas, these two have definitely grown to love each other much more (not that they didn't before).

well and maybe mojo knows what's coming, but she's definitely turned into mom mode and has to be wherever graham is.  graham even calls mojo 'his dog.'  he tells her goodnight and gives her hugs.  of course she loves every second of it!

we're enjoying it while we can!  snow that is!

there was just enough snow left from an earlier snowfall for some sleding, romping and running!

it's something we're going to miss playing in....but not shoveling!

grammie was oh so gracious and hosted thanksgiving at her house this year.  and what a fun time we all had!

we did a little exploring outside with mojo.

attempted some KEY-YUTE finger painted cards with grammie (we only got one done before graham became uninterested).

played a little piano and guitar.

caught up with the fam: grammie, bruce, kim, sam, justina and garrett.

and most importantly.....ATE!  :)

and oh my...for dessert we had three, yes three, different kinds of pies.  so of course i had to try all of them!  they were all delicious, along with dinner of course.

i'm so thankful to have this special time with our family.

happy 4th!

we woke up early this morning and headed down to raleigh, nc to see our friends nicole and jeremy for the weekend.  mojo was in tow, seeing as they have a pit bull mix as well, clover.  

luckily the dude was feeling better and slept most of the trip down.  it was rather hot outside though, so he was a little cranky when we got there.  

we had a great time though.  nicole had invited some of their neighbors over for a cookout and we were able to hang out and relax.  the dogs wore themselves out playing.  and the boys had fun tasting beers together!  

i realized about halfway through the day that i hadn't really taken many pictures.  d'oh! but at least i had a few before someone got really messy eating watermelon.

whenever we visit frying pan park, i can never get over how natural graham looks on the farm!  

he loves everything about the place, as do we!

and speaking of being a natural on the farm.....mojo LOVES coming with us.  last time she made friends with the pigs, this go around it was the calf and horse.  

who knows...maybe graham will grow up to be an organic beef farmer and he can cook us some amazing meals!  ha!

graham has always been a fan of mojo, but recently he's treating her more like a friend than a pet.  he'll tell her good night, give her hugs and open up wide when she goes in for a kiss!

grammie came over after work today.  Yeah!!!  we love when she stops by.

it was a very relaxed kind of day, so we all hung out in the living room and listened to grammie read books.  even mojo got in on the action!

and i just noticed that both posts from this week and last week are with the dude reading.  yes...he really does LOVE reading.  and that makes me so happy!

the hand that feeds

we couldn't have asked for a better dog!  i really do believe that mojo views graham as her own.  she always wants to be near him and is always giving him kisses (probably has NO correlation with the fact that he drops food or has food on his face all the time!  hehe!).  she couldn't be more gentle and patient with graham though.  she ever so carefully takes treats out of his hand, and lets him pull her ears, touch her mouth, etc. 

maybe someday the stigma of a pitbull will disappear!!

we had more beautiful weather today, so we took advantage of it and relaxed on the deck.  mojo made herself right at home.  thanks sue!!  :)

visit from north cackalackie

we were so happy this weekend to have nicole, jeremy and little miss clover up for the weekend.  we all haven't hung out in FOREVER!!  we did a lot of relaxing, catching up and enjoying a few cold ones.  

mojo LOVED having her friend up, and definitely didn't know what to do with herself when everyone was gone.  the dude either!  he loved miss nicole and mr jeremy!

ps....happy belated birthday mojo!!!  our lovely, loving pibble is now four years old!!  she has been the best dog we could have ever asked for.  we <3 you moj!!!

playground photoshoot

one thing i LOVE about our townhouse is the fact that there is a playground, tennis court and pool literally right across the street from us.  we somewhat thought about that when we were buying the place, but didn't realize how much of a luxury it would be until we had the dude.  

once he starts walking completely on his own we'll be at the playground more so he can walk around and move.  for now though, the tennis court and his walker is where it's at!  it's perfect!

even mojo gets some playtime!!
