finally!!

not sure what magic powder the clays have on their carpet...but it makes hannah fall asleep every time!!

hopefully this means she'll sleep on her back in the crib once we get it set-up in the new house.

last night!

hard to believe it's our last night with grana and grampa.  tomorrow morning we'll head up to the dallas area and stay with the clay's until we close on our house.  of course i tried to get a picture of grana and grampa, and loving big brother had to steal the love!

words can't express how thankful we are to you grana and grampa.  you have been a HUGE help and hopefully we haven't driven you completely mad!  we will always remember the past 5 weeks and can't wait for you to come and visit us at our new house!

first bottle

seeing as hannah will be going to daycare here shortly, we wanted to see how she would do with a bottle.  that way if she didn't like it, we had time to get her used to it.  yeah, so ummmmmm, girlfriend  didn't have any qualms!  she downed the bottle like an old pro.  i say it a lot, but this girl doesn't like to miss a meal!

parade of flowers

so here in san antonio, they get the day off for the parade of flowers.  grana can tell you the whole story, all i know is that it involves a legit parade, floats, bands, and girls wearing VERY sparkley dresses and fancy shoes!  when the floats with the girls go by you're supposed to yell 'show me your shoes' and they lift their dresses and show them off.  pretty fun!

and even though it was pretty darn hot outside, we all managed to have a very fun time!

happy birthday to me! 33!

the day started when grandpa and graham took mojo for a walk and graham came back with blue bonnets for me!  then we decided to head down to the zoo.  we got up close and personal with a hippos behind, and saw some other really cool animals.  on the way back, while the kiddos snoozed, grana took me to the boot store for my very first pair of real cowboy boots!  love them!!  then it was back home for dinner and a dip in the pool!

and what birthday wouldn't be complete without cake!  a carrot cake nonetheless!  yummy!

it's that time of year!!  one of my favorites indeed!

PUNKIN TIME!!!!

we were debating going to a couple different farms, pumpkinville, etc. but i'm glad we ended up holding off.  we LOVE the meadows farms down the street from us.  moon bounce, hay bale maze and super fast (and fun) tube slide!  and the best part....it was all FREE!  

the dude had a blast and picked out a couple punkins to go with mommy's bigger one.  

hmmmm....now comes the bigger question....what to carve on them!

i might be a little biased....but man, the dude looks good in orange!

spider boy

this boy has some sticky feet!  he scales the slide all the time with now hesitation at all.  

we definitely have a climber!

of course, if there are other kids at the playground we only go DOWN the slide, but if he's the only on up there....we let it slide!  ;)  haha...get it....slide!  (yeah, i'm a dork)

miss stefanie

miss stefanie, hands down, is the best neighbor EVER!!

not only does she bake us the tastiest treats and share our love for good food, wine and scotch....but...

a beachy wedding

today marked the first day of colin and stephanie's 'together!'

it was a perfect day.  the setting was beautiful.  the weather was beautiful.  and the bride was beautiful!

graham was quite impressed with the speaker for the guitar.  for the life of me i can't remember the guys name that played the guitar, but he was really nice and even walked him up the stairs to see the beach.  

it was great seeing family and great seeing some old faces from good ol FCHS!

i was so bummed that i couldn't make it down there.  but with my cast, i was going to take any chances with plastic bags, tape, etc.  i decided i would stay on star's patio and take pictures from there.  where's the real zoom when you need it!!  

based on the recap from grady, graham wasn't too thrilled going into the ocean, but LOVED sitting and playing in the sand and letting the water splash up on him.

i heard it through the grapevine

that there's someone who REALLY likes raisins!  starts with a 'g' and ends in with 'm!'  and no...he doesn't like to share (hence the fakeout with grammie in the bottom two photos!

it was a quick visit, but we were happy to have grammie come over for a little bit after her long day at work.  graham was in unusual 'mom clingy' form and finally started warming up to grammie towards the end of her visit (of course!).  we ate raisins together, played on the floor, and even went to the playground.  

(milestone alert.....the dude went down the small and big spiral slide all by himself and didn't fall over!!!)

we were sad to see grammie leave, but hopefully we'll be seeing her again soon.

new and old friends

it was a wonderful weekend full of old and new friends!!  les came into town after visiting her sister in NC and made a stopped by before she headed back home to san fran.  a bunch of us went out to dinner on friday to hang out with the lady.  and then grady, the dude and i headed over to dawn and ej's house today to have some adult beverages and snacks while the kids played.  

graham has hung out with kiera before, but this was the first time he could walk around and actually play with the big kids!  they all got along swimmingly....not to any of our surprise.  we lucked out and got some pretty chill kiddos!  they were all nice and pleasant to each other and kept each other occupied.  

it was so nice to visit some more with les, i was definitely sad when she had to head to the airport.  i still can't believe it's been 17 years that we've been friends now.  one of these days i WILL make it out to san fran to visit.  hmmmmm, family vacation?!

we weren't sure if we were going to have time to take graham to see santa this year, but luckily we found some today! we had to wait until 2:15 to see him (it was 11:15 when we got there), but luckily they had a pager system (like at a restaurant) and we could do some shopping, eat, etc. while we waited.

graham was an awesome waiter and slept the entire time. the people in line were betting he wasn't going to wake up for the picture...

the little dude has been such a good boy this year. he's bound to get some good gifts from the man in the red suit!! he was very excited when we told him that (see picture below)! okay, so maybe he was right about to sneeze, but he still looks excited! :)
