old and new

someone has started to become very attached to his bears!  

what makes me so happy is how dink, my bear when i was little, loves to cuddle with the dude and his panda! usually black bear makes a cuddle appearance as well...just so happened he was left in bed for this shot.

best yard sale find ever!

woody doll with talking pull string and hat.  found it at toys 'r' us for $60.....we got it for....wait for it.....wait for it.......ONE DOLLAR!!!

someone is very attached to his woody doll too.  maybe we'll need to change the dude's name to andy!

new toys!

thanks again to everyone who gave the dude some pretty awesome toys for his birthday.  even though he has played with every single toy he got, i think it's safe to say he has a couple favorites!

in the box

the dude's latest trick is putting things in and out of whatever he can find.  whether it be the wooden box for his sorting blocks, the back end of his cement truck, in the bowl or cup in the bath tub, etc.  he is so proud of himself after he figures out how to put something new in something else too.  we have a smart one on our hands! (not that the head circumference didn't give that away!  hehe!)

LOVE freecycle

reason #1548 why i LOVE freecycle......free complete set of wooden blocks for the dude!  in the offer it actually said just a bag of wooden blocks, so i figured there would be just enough to replenish the blocks that we might not be able to find!  NOPE!  it was a large rubbermaid bin FULL of wooden blocks.  i actually had a hard time picking the bin up and putting it in my trunk.

who knew that blocks could be so fun. well and when 'melissa and doug' make such colorful and silly ones, who can resist!! i mean who wouldn't love a block with a turtle wearing a tie while sticking his tongue out! :) the whole set of blocks is 3' high, but daddy just stacked some of them. enough to capture the attention of our little dude.

and can i just mention how proud we are of our little dude. he is sitting up all on his own for LONG periods of time now. he'll teeter back and forth sometimes and he uses his balance to catch himself. we even got a comment from one of the teachers at school that she was surprised to hear how young he was and how well he did sitting up. go dude!!

you've seen a lot of her in recent photos and videos. she's an awesome friend and she's never too far away. she is my must have monday...and no, i'm not talking about mojo. i'm talking about....sophie!!

exer-size

just a couple weeks ago graham wasn't tall enough to reach the floor in his exer-saucer. to our surprise, when we put him in it last weekend he fit!!! little dude must have had a growth spurt without us knowing! it really is like he grows overnight...not just in size, but in personality too. he's turning into a little man!! and it's also cute to see miss mojo turn into a little mom. she's always by graham's side. she even lets him grab at her ears, nose and skin. they're buds already!!

sophie

we got our sophie at graham's baby shower and have been waiting for the day when he was actually interested in it.
well, now that pretty much everything is going into his mouth these days, the dude has realized that sophie is a pretty cool toy! we love when he chews on her because he's figured out how to make the squeaky sound on it with his gums. LOVE it!!



his other favorite toy at the moment is his shamrock teether...how fitting for next month!
